I think I would start by working in another company that provides these services to make sure its what you really want to do. I would also learn from them and how they run their business. (Both good and bad aspects) Then start small and branch out. It's a wonder no one has started a franchise model! ...

Yes it's most likely, but if they need it down the track they could reapply through a change of circumstance. I guess what I would do if it was needed look at how you could apply some of the funding to keeping the job. However that would be up to the participant. ------------------------------ Mark ...

From my point of view for the case described duty of Care would dictate an ambulance be called. In a lesser case panadol has been listed as a PRN and isn't a prescription drug so I would get some from the local supermarket or petrol station. Other participants medications etc are theirs so unless they ...

From my point of view it's listening, watching, learning and understanding what people want and how they want to be supported no matter how they communicate. Basically treat people the way you would want to be treated! ------------------------------ Mark Kulinski ------------------------------

Mine is that so many people with disabilities are competing in the Special Olympics in Tassie. We can all learn so much from the commitment, hard work and determination just to individually fundraise to get there before the comp even starts. Hi Lisa, a really good question. The most difficult thing to work around that I've found is carer fatigue and building the circle of support around the person with a disability and their family members. Also doing all the leg work with and sometimes for ageing parents. Obviously this comes at an organisational ...
