Welcome to our 3rd #TipTuesday for NDS Communities. Tip Tuesday is about showing you the functionality the NDS Communities community platform has to offer.

Our previous tip discussed How to mention other Members – if you missed it, you can view it here.

Now, let's use this week's Tip Tuesday to review great ways to start a discussion.

Great Ways to Start a Discussion:

New to online communities? Daunted by the thought of asking a question and receiving no responses? Make the most of your post with these tips.

    1. Ask open-ended questions. Broad questions that seek feedback or opinions will get the best responses.
    2. Keep your subject lines brief. A concise subject line allows other members to respond appropriately to your post or search the archives by topic. You can link to additional information in the body of your post if needed.
    3. Describe your question in the body. In contrast to the subject line, use the body of the post to explain your question in detail, providing sufficient information for other members to understand how to respond.
    4. Personalise your question. Share context or background.
    5. Add resources or attachments. Include documents in your post.

Tune in next week for more NDS Communities community tips and tricks! In the meantime, do not hesitate to ask any questions you might have by replying to this thread or emailing info@ndp.com.au.
