Welcome to our 9th #TipTuesday for NDS Communities! Tip Tuesday is about showing you the functionality the NDS Communities community platform has to offer.
Last week we discussed how to search for content of interest– if you missed it, you can view it here.
Now, let's use this week's Tip Tuesday to review how to Build Your Network.
Build Your Network
Why? Add contacts so you can send messages to stay in touch, ask questions or build a referral network. When you view another member's profile, you'll be able to see any contacts you have in common. You can also choose to let your contacts view certain demographics in your profile that others can't.
How?
- Navigate to the profile of members by clicking on "Directory" and searching for the member in the Member Directory.
- Type in the members first name and last name
- Click on "Find Members."
- Click on "Add as Contact"
- Check the "My Connections" tab in your profile to keep track of your contacts and networks.
"Quick Tip"
If you hover over a member's name a pop up will appear that also includes the option to "Request Contact"
